SHOES. Everybody knows its all about the shoes. When I saw the lovely ladies of Reef were throwing a styling contest I couldn't contain myself :) No Surf-Chic closet is complete without a killer pair of flats. I'm in love with the Bella Costas, they remind me of a trip to Peru I took last spring where textiles run wild and bold colors flood your visuals.  Not to mention that these bright beauties are some of the comfiest I own.

Whether making a statement to the sweet simplicity of a fringe body-con dress or paired back to a fur vest, denim shorts and a floppy wool hat, the Bella Costas definitely add that perfect pop of color and texture. They're a super easy piece that I love to throw on after a fun day in the surf or to play music with friends. My favorite accessories to complete this look are the gorgeous creations from Bella Beach Jewels, I don't feel complete unless I'm dripping in gems and shells :)

What do you guys think?! Xx

►►►Fear Not Fall

Fringe Top/L*Space | Sweater/Anthropologie

With fall in full effect I can't help but dream of bikini clad summer days with warm water and endless surf sessions. As the water temps drop and I dust off my wetsuit, I am taking full advantage of the Florida sunshine and have no shame in busting out a bikini to walk down to the water for a mid day sunning. This gorgeous sweater from Anthro was love at first sight, the bright colors and chunky knit texture make it such a fun cover up when the sun is out but there's a chill in the air. My neon L*Space top only further fuels my fringe addiction but that is fine by me! The pop of color is to die for and the fit is perfection. The cold may be here to stay but I'm soaking up every bit of sunshine while I can! X

Army Jacket/Anthropologie | Tee/Jedidiah | Shoes/f21 | Bag/Michael Kors
There are tons of aspects I love about surf fashion but this is definitely one of my favorites: grunge chic. I feel like my life is always on the go, and there's nothing better than going for a surf, throwing your hair back in a cheetah headband, grabbing your favorite cut-offs and graphic tee and then adding a funky shoe before running out the door. This time around I happened to be drawn to my new leopard booties which are really tall!! but really fun to wear. I just kept hearing Michael Kors in my head saying, "Don't be scared to mix your leopards, they're a great print to wear in twos"...music to my ears. So unexpected. This army jacket is one of my favorites, I throw it on with literally everything from floral sundresses to my favorite t-shirts and jeans.

Not only do I love this super soft tee by Jedidiah, but they're such an amazing company on top of their super unique designs. Their proceeds go towards a different partner charity depending on the garment, and their overall goal is to empower consumers to consciously choose to make purchases that create positive change.  Nothing makes me happier than combining my fashion fetish with humanitarian efforts and Jedidiah truly makes that possible. ►►►Charcoal alley...

all photos from Charcoal Alley
ummm...serious girl crush alert! I had to show some major Gypsea Love to Paris Gerrard from Charcoal Alley for her incredible style, blog, and artistic point of view. I first discovered her on the Spell & the Gypsy blog sporting some python pants and killer Spell accessories and I knew I had to see more. Her boho looks define the term "free spirit" but its her writing that made my heart swell up and sing :) Always focusing on the positive while touching on universal struggles, Paris' words are honest and open and her imagery creates an idealistic view of how good life can be. Limitless, positive energy exudes from this gorgeous creature and it can't help but make you smile! Our mutual love for  classic photography, layers of accessories, and all things Crystalized makes this girl my new hero. Lots of love to you Paris, keep up the beautiful inspiration! You've got a fan for life. X

▶▶▶ peach perfection

Ahhh peach. one of my favorite, favorite colors to wear. Any variation really, whether its bright melon shades or paler nudes. I love this neutral blouse paired back to crisp, deep tones like olive or chocolate. The pieces I wear are typically easy and not a lot of fuss, so when I want a more sophisticated look I go for something thats light and airy but still tailored. The pleats in the top and the length & structure of the short feel a little more elevated.  Michael Kors platforms are some of my favs, and these bring just a touch of denim to keep it casual but still polished. Adding a statement necklace is another easy way to dress up any outfit, my favorites usually involve giant stones like this one from Anthropologie. And of course, the wool floppy hat keeps me warm with the chill in the air. With just a few tweaks to an otherwise relaxed outfit, you can really take your day look up a notch :)
It may be fall but I'm transitioning as slowly as humanly possible... I guess I really am a Florida girl :) What do you guys think?
Have a great weekend! X
