BABE SCRUB

Photos: Carly Brown

{ BABEIN'}

I'm thrilled to reveal my collaboration with 100% naturally formulated body scrub company, BABE SCRUB. The Babescrub range currently includes three natural body scrubs – Coffee, Green Tea, and Himalayan Pink Salt, each with a special remedy for skin rejuvenation and healing.

When I received the beautiful products, it had been raining for two weeks straight. Deprived of sun, I felt the desperate need to recharge somehow, to be reborn in the elements and soak up the Earth's energy. To be naked in nature and return to my roots.

Carly and I both have always wanted to capture the Tea Tree Lake in all its purifying essence, and what a better opportunity to do so than showcasing the rawness of a body scrub ritual. Because the scrubs contain no chemicals, synthetics or nasties, I didn't have to worry about introducing toxins into this stunning, natural, silk bath. It was just a perfectly girly day; weaving flowers in my hair, singing to the trees, feeling raindrops on my skin and exfoliating in the calm tea tree waters. When I emerged from the dark pool, my skin was like velvet.

All manufactured in small batches in Australia.

"Someone told me there's a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.
Took my chances on a big jet plane, never let them tell you that they're all the same.
The sea was red and the sky was grey, wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today.
The mountains and the canyons started to tremble and shake
as the children of the sun began to awake."

Outer Banks Gold

Photos courtesy of John Streit and Shaun Devine

There's no place like H O M E.

Travel is great, especially when the main focus of your escapades revolves around chasing perfect peelers, but there's always a feeling of pride, even when abroad, when home is firing. Surfers Shaun Devine, Todd Pace, Steve Owens, and John Streit managed to make the most of an epic swell that hit the East Coast of America a few weeks back, and they captured it perfectly in all its glory.

When my good friend and Jetty Ambassador John Streit started posting these ridiculous photos from a session in Duck, North Carolina, my head started spinning. Classic Outer Banks Gold.  I then got a message from another friend, Shaun Devine with some more insane eye candy captioned, "Me and the boys and not another soul in sight!" That's the beauty of this spot, the Duck Research Pier lies tucked away in a quiet fishing town on a chain of tiny islands off the coast of North Carolina. You can easily surf perfect A-frames completely solo. I used to wait tables across the street from this hidden gem. The brown water, thick slabs, and empty lineups scream everything I love about this quaint coastal community. As much as I miss it, I love getting to see my friends trading barrels and sharing stoke in one of my favorite places on Earth.

Amilita // Lace In Love

photos: Carly Brown

Dress / Amilita | Hat / Pendleton | Ring / Bahgsu Jewels

THIS. DRESS.

Makes me think of someone sweet. Adorned on the occasion when He who is brave enough might stare into the blinding light that shines of natural beauty. That special piece that comes out to play when there's a bite in the air and a certain anticipation of something stellar about to unfold. A transition piece from warm to cool, from day to night, from earth to sky. Lace embracing the heart as it does the form, giving room to breathe, to open, to receive.

This is a dress to fall in love in.
