►►► FRINGE ADDICTION

There's something about fringe and crochet that just makes me smile :) Maybe its the way it blows in the wind or how it drapes so effortlessly against the female form ... it screams rock and roll while soft enough to please the dippyest of hippies. In my world, there's never too much and never enough. Vests, bags, boots, sweaters ... the list goes on. Very rarely do I mix my fringe, but in this case, they didn't overpower each other.  And with add-on accessories like these stunning pieces from Bella Beach Jewels, I say you either go big or go home. Layer and stack until your heart says stop -- I couldn't help but go a little crazy with the accessorizing of these gorgeous ocean gems.

Music has always influenced my personal style, from the likes of Janice Joplin and Jimi Hendrix to Florence Welsh and Lily Allen, there's something magical about a performer's craving for self expression that I can totally relate to. Playing piano and guitar along with surfing and my blog are what keep me sane ... without my creative outlets I would be nothing.

I'm about to take off on such an exciting adventure tomorrow!! I'm off to Puerto Rico with my amazing photographer Chelsea Erwin, travel writer and photographer Shaun Devine, and a few more friends who I'm sure will make the trip an epic one for sure. Lots of gorgeousness to be reported soon enough! Keep checking back for updates. XX

"There is no need to hurry or force things to happen . . . Everything is occuring in perfect timing"

Nurturing a cause or a relationship is a long-term commitment, and one that can't be rushed. This level of devotion comes from a place of deep loving and concern. I care what happens to my planet and to my loved ones so much that I'm willing to stick with them through thick and thin. This isn't always easy, but to me, it's the only way to ensure that matters are resolved and healed. I listen to the passionate stirrings of my heart. I reach out and take action to let my loved ones know that I deeply care about them. Never mind what other people think; you will benefit by carrying through with your priorities. You'll feel so good about yourself if you make time for the relationship and projects that truly count in your heart. Do what's important to you and do it with absolute devotion! But remember that there's no competition for your true life's purpose, so there's no need to worry, hurry or feel that you have to force things to happen. -Oonagh, Celtic Goddess of Transition

... pulled this card from my Goddess Oracle Card deck today and it rang so true I felt I needed to share it. Life can seem so unexpected, one second feeling like you have all the answers and the next feeling completely lost. I am constantly reevaluating my contribution to this planet and if I'm fulfilling my divine purpose to its fullest potential... Oonagh reassures us that if you are following your heart, then there is no other place you should be and nothing else you should rather be doing. There is no need to hurry or force things to happen. Everything is occurring in perfect timing.

Happy Friday! Xx

►►► FLORAL FREAK

Images//Vogue | photographed by Steven Klein

I saw this editorial in the new Vogue and I couldn't get the zombie impressionist undertone out of my head.  Make sure to also check out Gwen Stefani (aka lifelong girl crush) on the cover looking ah-mazing in her head to toe look from Heidi Slimane's collection for Saint Laurent.  Loving every second of this.

So excited to have been announced the winner of the Reef Junior Stylist Contest and so grateful for all the exposure. The ladies at Reef were sweet enough to do a feature on me, so I thought I'd share some of the photos from the shoot including this sunshine yellow look we didn't use but that I really loved. Make sure to check it out -- its live on the website with a full bio about my style inspiration, surfing background and closet must-haves!
